Expectations of English 101


I hope that this semester of English 101 I actually retain information that I am taught. Unlike every other writing class I’ve ever taken when I’m given  a topic and told just to write but never told where to start. I want to be able to proofread my papers and see my mistakes without anyone telling me. The goal for this semester is to become a better writer in general. To take what I learn every day and make small changes to my papers that make a completely new paper in the end. My final expectation of English 101 is to receive a grade that is better than just passing with a C.

A little about Zyriah

When asked the question “Who are you?” many people respond with their names. Well I’m no different because my name is Zyriah Harvest and I’m an 19 year old college student. I am the first of five to attend more than one semester of college. I have three older siblings that aren’t exactly great role models. I would describe myself as outgoing, determined and all around amazing. When many first meet me I’m the opposite of what they might have thought I would’ve  been. I have this resting face which makes me look mean or uninterested but that's only until you have a conversation with me. I’m just an easy going person that is just trying to graduate and start my life.
